Privacy policy

For likepolling.com and the Creators + browser extension. Last updated October 2026.

Creators + extension

Creators + shows Like Polling's YouTube rankings and channel statistics on YouTube and in its toolbar popup.

• What it sends: when you open a YouTube channel, video or Short, the extension reads that channel's public ID or @handle from the page and sends only that to likepolling.com to fetch its statistics. Rankings requests send only the country code you picked.
• What it never sends: page contents, comments, messages, full URLs, search terms or your browsing history. It does not run on any website other than www.youtube.com.
• What it stores on your device: your chosen country, whether the floating button is shown, where you dragged it, and a short-lived cache of statistics (cleared when the browser closes). Nothing is stored in an account; there are no accounts.
• No tracking: no analytics, advertising IDs or cookies are used by the extension. We don't sell or share data.
• Permissions: "storage" for the settings above, and access to www.youtube.com (to recognise the channel and show the panel) and www.likepolling.com (to fetch statistics).

likepolling.com

• We use Vercel Web Analytics to count page views. It doesn't use cookies and doesn't identify individual visitors.
• Searches you make for YouTube channels are sent to our server to look up public YouTube statistics, and the channel's public statistics are saved in our database.
• Your language choice is kept in your browser's local storage.

Data sources

Statistics come from the public YouTube Data API and Google News. Estimated earnings are a range based on views, the channel's country, each video's topic and how many views come from Shorts (typical creator-reported rates per 1,000 views), not real revenue.
